Our Mission Statement:
“Successfully integrate commissioning into the construction process to enhance Owner confidence and the long term efficient operation and sustainability of the project.”
What we do:
Commissioning
Efficient Systems Integration specializes in the third party verification and functional performance testing of HVAC and building systems. We undertake any standard of commissioning (LEED, CSA, CBOP etc.). The enhancement of the sustainability of a project is our paramount mission. The services that we provide ensure third party verification that the project turned over to the owner is complete as designed and fulfilling the intent of the owner’s project requirements. We are familiar with the latest systems such as photovoltaic arrays, light tubes, ground source, and solar walls. Our operational experience allows us to undertake post-occupancy owner training not usually offered by contract. This service can further enhance the sustainability of the project.
Optimization
After the new facility has been occupied there remains adjustments and tweaking to ensure all systems are operating as designed. Once established as a baseline changes can often be implemented to enhance occupant comfort and/or energy efficiency. Occupant comfort is always the first priority to ensure the staff and occupants are able to undertake whatever business the facility was intended. Once an energy efficient baseline is attained then changes can be made locally to enhance individual occupant comfort without sacrificing the original design energy efficiency.
New Facility System Start-up
ESI can also be retained to ensure systems are started up for the first time as being in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and/or the construction contract. This is a critically important step in maintaining the factory warranty for a given component or system. The original manufacturer’s start-up checklist is completed by the installing contractor as verification of warranty. Where these checklists do not exist, ESI supplies checklists to ensure equipment is brought on line correctly and without damage
